Albury College has the following entry requirements:

International students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and have completed Year 12 or equivalent.
  • Participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
  • Have an IELTS* score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
  • Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or
  • Successful completion of an English Placement Test

*Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.

To assist with the identification of potential language, literacy, or numeracy (LLN) barriers and non-vocational barriers to learning or support needs, an initial LLN assessment shall be conducted (LLN Robot) with each applicant, at a time shortly after the application for enrolment has been received.

Students will require a laptop/notebook and internet access and be able to

  • create, save, and edit Microsoft Office (or equivalent) documents.
  • access and search the internet.
  • download and save documents from websites and the Enhance LMS.
  • upload documents through websites and the Enhance LMS.
  • participate in online discussions.
  • compress image files.
  • connect digital cameras, download, and store images.
  • connect digital video devices, download, and store video.
  • connect digital audio devices, download, and store audio files.

Course Cost

The Tuition Fee of this course is $20,000. The due date of each instalment will appear in your Letter of Offer.

There is an additional non-refundable $500 enrolment fee payable at the time of enrolment, and a $1,000 materials fee payable for this course (refundable if you decide to cancel your course prior to commencement).

Recognition of prior learning and credit transfer

Learners wishing to receive RPL must make an application for such prior to the commencement of any structured training by use of the RPL Kit.

RPL Assessors are to ensure the application for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

  • Submit an application a minimum of 30 days prior to the commencement of the course.
  • Provide all evidence they wish to use to support their application.
  • Complete all steps in the appropriate RPL Kit for the qualification.
  • Evidence is to be confirmed with the local or overseas training provider (where appropriate).
  • Referees are to be contacted by phone and email for confirmation on two separate occasions with a minimum of seven days between each contact.
  • Employees are to be confirmed by phone and email for confirmation on two separate occasions with a minimum of seven days between each contact; and
  • Pay the fees.

Learners wishing to receive CT must make an application for such prior to the commencement of any structured training by use of the CT Application Form.

Course Pathways

Participants are provided with advice on employment and training options throughout the delivery of the program.

After achieving the RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, candidates may choose to undertake higher level qualification.

Training Structure

  • Face-to-Face Classes: Classes are scheduled and delivered in a suitable campus location, attendance is face-to-face, conducted in a formal class format, providing structured learning, practice and assessment under trainer direction and supervision.
  • Online Learning: Learners attend synchronous learning in an online classroom accessed by Zoom (or equivalent). Online classes are conducted under trainer supervision and facilitation.

Assessment Tasks

Assessment tasks and activities will include:

  • Knowledge questions
  • Research Projects/Case Studies/Scenarios
  • Activities in simulated work environments (as per training package requirements)
  • Practical demonstration observed by the assessor in simulated business environments, and/or supplementary evidence supplied by a third party such as an employer in a business environment.
  • Non-structured training activities with supporting evidence

The first day of each course will include orientation and induction. Orientation will include information about the campus, living in Australia, accessing our support services and methods for achieving success throughout the course, including course progress requirements.
