About Courses

The CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) at Albury College, Australia, is a comprehensive 52-week program designed for aspiring building professionals aiming to develop expertise in managing residential and commercial construction projects. Delivered both face-to-face at the Parramatta campus and online, this course equips students with essential skills in structural principles, risk and financial management, contract administration, estimating, and project supervision. Graduates typically pursue careers as Builders, General Forepersons, or Building Inspectors, with opportunities across the residential (up to 3 storeys) and certain commercial building sectors. Entry into the course requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, have completed Year 12 (or equivalent), demonstrate English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent), and pass a course suitability interview along with an LLN assessment. The total tuition fee is AUD 15,000, with additional enrolment and material fees. The curriculum covers a wide range of nationally recognized units of competency, blending theoretical knowledge with practical assessments in simulated workplace environments, ensuring students are industry-ready. The course also supports Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) for eligible students. Upon completion, graduates can progress to higher qualifications like the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, further enhancing their career prospects in the building and construction industry.
